Construction Of Road and Drainages at Olawale Dawoodu Street Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA

Lagos, Nigeria – 20th April, 2023 – The Executive Chairman, Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Fuad Atanda-Lawal and his team, made another landslide achievement with total construction of road and drainages at Olawale Dawoodu Street, Ikoyi.

The mayor, in his bid to combat floods and erosion in the upcoming Torrential rainfall, embarked on construction, repair and maintenance of roads and drainages in the LCDA for smooth vehicular movement and free flow of water from drainages to the canal during and after the raining season.

Type 80mm HFP paving stones were laid at Olawale Dawoodu street, Ikoyi.

Stone paving is durable in terms of strength, being formed under natural immense heat and pressure, natural stone is capable of withstanding the harsh weather conditions, elements, and the test of time.

Natural stone paving creates a long-lasting design that remains looking good over the years, despite constant exposure to foot, traffic, extreme weather conditions and all other factors.

About the LCDA


Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area was carved out of the old Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

The council with territorial size of 28square kilometres has an estimated population of about three hundred and forty two thousand (342,000) inhabitants, made up of predominantly Yorubas, Ibos and Hausas.
